Shopify events, straight into Slack
Every new order, refund, or cancellation — posted to Slack the moment it happens. No $20+/month automation plan just to move one webhook.
Why not just use Slack's built-in options? Even where Shopify offers some form of Slack integration, it's often tied to one account, limited in which events it covers, or more than you need. ZestyGlue is a dedicated, always-on feed of exactly the events you choose, for $9/month instead of a full automation-platform subscription.
What it looks like
ZestyGlue
Shopify — Orders/Create
A real Shopify event, shown as ZestyGlue formats it for Slack.
Setup — about two minutes
- Create the connector. In ZestyGlue, start a new Shopify → Slack connector. You'll get a unique webhook URL right away.
- Point Shopify at it. In your Shopify Admin, go to Settings → Notifications → Webhooks → Create webhook. Pick an event, set the format to JSON, and paste in your ZestyGlue webhook URL.
- Copy the signing secret. Shopify shows a signing key underneath your webhook list — paste that into ZestyGlue's connector setup so every event can be verified as genuinely from Shopify.
- Point Slack at ZestyGlue. Create a Slack app (or reuse one) → Incoming Webhooks → Add New Webhook to Workspace, pick the channel, and copy the URL into ZestyGlue.
Tip: Shopify webhooks are one topic each, but you can register several — orders/create, orders/paid, refunds/create — all pointed at the same ZestyGlue URL. Every one of them will flow into the same channel.

Questions
Is my Shopify Webhook Signing Secret safe with ZestyGlue?
It's encrypted at rest with Fernet symmetric encryption before it ever touches disk, it's never logged, and it's never displayed again in the dashboard after you enter it — only a masked placeholder is shown.
Does this support draft orders, or only paid orders?
ZestyGlue forwards whatever Shopify sends for the topic you subscribe to. Subscribe to orders/create for every new order regardless of payment status, or orders/paid for confirmed sales only.
Will this slow down my store or affect checkout?
No. Shopify sends the webhook asynchronously after the order is already created, and delivery happens independently in the background.
I have multiple Shopify stores. Can they all post to the same channel?
Yes — create one ZestyGlue connector per store. Each gets its own webhook URL and its own $9/month subscription.
Does this need Slack admin approval?
No app installation is required on Slack's side — an Incoming Webhook is just a URL generated once. No OAuth review, no admin approval flow.
What happens if my ZestyGlue subscription lapses?
Events are silently dropped rather than causing errors on Shopify's side — Shopify never sees a failure response, so it won't retry aggressively or flag your webhook as broken. Your dashboard will simply stop showing new events until you resubscribe.
